Welcome to my blog. It is a place I have started to use to store my reflections on teaching and leadership. Last year (2016) I used the site to store my new understandings and assignments for my Mindlab course (Post graduate certificate in Applied Practice).
In 2017, I move to a new position as the Principal of Te Kohanga School in Franklin, South of Auckland. It is my first Principalship and I will be using this site to record readings and professional learning. I will be training as a Reading Recovery teacher this year so will be recording my thoughts on training here too.
I began teaching in South Auckland many years ago, before moving to London for the the traditional O.E. I was lucky enough to have a British Passport so the two years stretched into 10 and I returned in 2013 with my British partner who is now a member of the New Zealand Police.
